A meatless tomato sauce good for pasta.

Recipe Ingredients for Marinara Sauce

6 ounce tomato paste
15 ounce tomato sauce
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/8 cup red wine
1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Recipe Directions for Marinara Sauce

Heat olive oil in saucepan over medium heat, add crushed garlic, saute briefly but do not brown. Add tomato paste, stirring for about 1 minute to blend the flavor. Next add the wine, stirring to blend. Then add the tomato sauce and basil. Let simmer for at least 5 minutes over low heat. Add a bit of water if it is too thick.
