Delicious, simple sauce for pasta or eggplant parmesana.

Recipe Ingredients for Marinara Sauce

29 oz diced tomatoes
6 oz tomato paste
1 cup onion
8 cloves garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp basil
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Marinara Sauce

  1. In 3-quart saucepan, stir all ingredients until well mixed.

  2. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 30 minutes to blend flavours. Use sauce immediately, or cover and refrigerate up to 2 weeks or freeze up to 1 year.
