796 mL tomatoes, canned, diced, Aylmer, 1/2C=125ml, can=796ml=28oz
6 carrot (7-1/2") Carrots
6 potato small (1-3/4" to 2-1/4" dia) Potatoes, Red, Flesh And Skin
1 slice, large (1/4" thick) Onions
6 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
2 serving pot barley, Golden Chef, 1/2C=100g
2 tsp Parsley, Dried
6 tsp Sugars, Granulated
0.5 tsp Pepper, Black
0.5 Teaspoon Thyme
12 cup (8 fl oz) Water
6 serving kirkland lean ground beef, 4oz=115g
6 Cube Stock Cubes

Recipe Directions for Marg's Beef Barley Soup

  1. boil water

  2. add remaining ingredients - except ground beef

  3. simmer till vegetables and barley are cooked - stir often so barley doesn't stick to bottom

  4. scramble fry beef - season - add to remaining ingredients for last 3/4 hr
