Recipe Ingredients for Margi's Blueberry Crisp

1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 pound frozen blueberries, unsweetened
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon rind
2 teaspoons water

Recipe Directions for Margi's Blueberry Crisp

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Place oats, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon in a medium mixing bowl. gradually mix in butter until mixture is crumbly but blended. Set aside.

  3. In another mixing bowl combine frozen blueberries, sugar, lemon rind and water until evenly mixed.

  4. Place blueberry mixture in baking dish of your choice. You can use cruets, individual pie pans, a square baking dish or pie pan. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over blueberries. Bake until crumble begins to turn golden brown and blueberry mixture begins to bubble around the edges. Baking time will vary depending on the type of baking dish used.
