Pizza with mozzarella & basil

Recipe Ingredients for Margharita Pizza

1/4 oz. active dry yeast
1/4 tsp. honey
3/4 cup water
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
14 oz. diced canned tomatoes
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoons basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon honey
4 oz. mozzarella
1 cup basil leaves

Recipe Directions for Margharita Pizza

  1. Dissolve yeast in water and add honey

  2. Allow to sit for 8 minutes

  3. Add flour & salt

  4. Roll out onto pizza stone

  5. Mince and saute garlic in oil

  6. add herbs

  7. saute

  8. add tomatoes

  9. simmer for 5 minutes

  10. puree

  11. simmer until desired thickness reached

  12. spread onto rolled out pizza dough

  13. cut mozzarella into 1"x1"x1/4" pieces & scatter onto sauce

  14. coarsely chop basil and scatter over mozzarella

  15. bake at 500 for 8-12 minutes
