Recipe Ingredients for Margaret Nadeau's Sahara Chili

2 lbs ground beef
1 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp onion powder
8 oz tomato sauce
15 oz beef broth
1 tbsp chili powder, light
2 tbsp dark chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
4 g chicken granules
1 tbsp chili powder, light
1 tbsp dark chili powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tbsp ground cumin

Recipe Directions for Margaret Nadeau's Sahara Chili

  1. Add the first three ingredients together and lightly brown meat.

  2. Add the next two ingredients and cook covered for 30 minutes.

  3. Add the next eight ingredients and cook for one hour.

  4. Add the rest of the ingredients (and water, if needed). Leave covered and simmer for 30 minutes.
