A special spicy treat this Mexican stew is a Terman family favourite and will comfort without being too detrimental.

Recipe Ingredients for Marcie's Chilli con Pollo

2 tbs olive oil
2 medium onions, chopped
5 cloves garlic
1 lb chopped turkey
1 lb chicken (franks)
6 ounce tomato paste
12 ounce chopped tomato
24 ounce kidney beans,
3 tbs chilli powder
1 tbs oregano
3/4 tbs red pepper flakes

Recipe Directions for Marcie's Chilli con Pollo

  1. Saute onions in as little oil as possible

  2. add franks and brown

  3. then add chopped meat and spices. When browned completely add canned ingredients and simmer for 1/2 hour over low to medium heat. Serve with salad and a small amount of corn chips.

  4. Definitely something for a light lunch day!
