Recipe Ingredients for Marathoners' Banana Bread

3 large ripe bananas
1 egg
2 tablespoons of canola oil
1/3 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
3/4 cup of white flour
3/4 cup of whole wheat flour

Recipe Directions for Marathoners' Banana Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. In a large bowl, mash bananas with a fork.

  3. Add the egg, oil, sugar, milk, and salt. Beat well, then add baking soda and baking powder.

  4. Gently blend flour into banana mixture. Stir for 20 seconds or until just moistened. Pour batter into a greased 9x5 loaf pan.

  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
