Recipe Ingredients for Maranara Sauce

2 tbsp olive oil
2 onions, small, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves
2 celery stalks, finely chopped
2 carrots, peeled, finely chopped
56 oz tomatos, crushed
1 tbsp red pepper flakes
2 tbsp Italian Seasoning
2 tbsp Bay Leaves, (4 whole)
1 tsp salt, sea, course
1 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Maranara Sauce

Heat olive oil over medium high heat. Add the onions and garlic and saute until the onions are transparentor about ten minutes. Add the carrots and celery and cook until soft or about ten minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and turn down the heat to low. Allow the sauce to simmer for at least an hour.
