Recipe Ingredients for Maple, Walnut, and Flaxseed Pancakes

1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup flaxseed, meal
1/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups buttermilk, reduced-fat (2%)
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1 large egg
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Recipe Directions for Maple, Walnut, and Flaxseed Pancakes

  1. Mix together dry ingredients

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together wet ingredients (except the oil)

  3. Mix together wet and dry ingredients, and cook in the oil

  4. Should make about 12 pancakes, serve with additional maple syrup and fruit if desired.
