Adapted from a food-network recipe - less butter, only the ingredients I had on hand, and made in a toaster oven.

Recipe Ingredients for Maple-Spice Acorn Squash

1 acorn squash
1/2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Maple-Spice Acorn Squash

  1. Combine butter, syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg.

  2. Slice squash into 6 wedges and place in baking dish.

  3. Pour syrup mixture over wedges.

  4. Season with salt and pepper (to taste)

  5. Cover dish with foil and bake at 400 degrees in a toaster oven for an hour, or until squash is soft when pierced with a fork. (You also could make this in a real oven. Also, I have no idea what the actual temperature is in my toaster oven).
