Recipe Ingredients for Maple Oatmeal Bars

1 cup light margarine, softened
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Splenda
1 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup egg substitute
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups oats
1/2 cup applesauce
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Maple Oatmeal Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees (325 if using a glass pan). Beat together margarine and Splenda® until creamy. Add eggs, syrup, vanilla and applesauce, beating well.

  2. Mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt to combine with moist ingredietns. Stir in the oats and raisins. Mix well. Spread batter in an ungreased 13" x 9" pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Cut into bars.

  3. Makes 24 servings.
