Can be made with gluten free flour 1/2 tspn zantham gum for anti-inflammatory or gluten free diet! Also, coconut oil and butter can be substituted with canola oil, but it's not preferable.

Recipe Ingredients for Maple Almond Butter Cookies

4 oz Natural Almond Butter (Raw)
4 oz Medium Amber Maple Syrup
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 cup Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
0.5 tsp Baking Soda
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
0.5 cup, whole Almonds
1.5 tablespoon Organic Butter

Recipe Directions for Maple Almond Butter Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  2. In a large bowl, combine almond butter, maple syrup, butter and coconut oil, and vanilla extract until well blended.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix together whole wheat pastry flour, baking soda & salt.

  4. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients along with chopped almonds, and stir until just combined.

  5. Let sit for 5 mins.

  6. Roll heaping tbsps of dough into balls, flatten to about 1/3" and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
