From Oprah - she found this turkey burger at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump's private club in Palm beach. NOTE - original recipe calls for "1 lemon, juice and grated zest" but this is the best I could do with the sizing available.

Recipe Ingredients for Mango Turkey Burgers

1/4 cup scallions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
3 granny smith apples, peeled and diced
1/8 cup canola oil
4 lbs ground turkey breast
2 tbsp salt
1 tbsp black pepper
2 tsp tabasco, chipotle
1 cup lemon juice (and lemon zest)
3/4 cup parsley, finely chopped (actually 1/2 bunch of parsley)
1/4 cup Major Grey's chutney, pureed

Recipe Directions for Mango Turkey Burgers

  1. Saute the scallions, celery, and apples in the canola oil until tender, let cool.

  2. Place ground turkey in a large mixing bowl - add sauteed items and remaining ingredients.

  3. Shape into eight 8-oz burgers.

  4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is better).

  5. Season the turkey burgers with salt and pepper.

  6. Place on a preheated, lightly oiled grill - grill each side for 7 minutes until meat is thoroughly cooked.

  7. Let sit for 5 minutes.
