Good! Use 6 oz. Dannon Fit & Light Mango/Orange yogurt instead of oil and only use 1 c. of sugar instead of 1-1/2 cups of sugar

Recipe Ingredients for Mango Nut Bread (No oil - and less sugar)

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs
4 oz. yogurt, lowfat (Dannon Fit & Light-Mango/Orange)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. mangoes, chopped
1/2 c. dates, chopped
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Recipe Directions for Mango Nut Bread (No oil - and less sugar)

  1. In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. In another bowl, beat eggs, yogurt and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in mangoes, dates and nuts (batter will be stiff). Spoon into two greased 8" x 4" x 2" loaf pans.

  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 - 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.

  3. Yield: 2 loaves
