Same chicken and veggies, but with some noodles.

Recipe Ingredients for Mami's Chicken Chow Mein

110 g chicken, thigh, meat only
92 g chicken, drumstick, meat only
1 large onion
2 large carrots
1 cup peas
312 g cabbage
2 tsp vegetable oil
6 tsp oyster sauce
6 tsp soy sauce
400 g Noodles, Plain, Dry

Recipe Directions for Mami's Chicken Chow Mein

  1. Boil 8 cups of water in a large sauce pan.

  2. Add noodles and boil for 5-7 minutes, or until soft. Drain and set aside.

  3. Microwave onion and cabbage with 1/4 cup of water in a covered dish until soft.

  4. Put 2 tsp oil in wok. Heat until hot and smoking.

  5. Add chicken to wok. Stir fry for 2 minutes, unil pink is gone.

  6. Add carrots and continue stirring until carrots soften. Add softened onion and cabbage, 3 tsp. oyster sauce and 3 tsp soy sauce. Continue stirring until combined.

  7. Add peas. Continue stirring until combined.

  8. Add cooked noodles and 2 cups water. Continue stirring.

  9. Add the rest of the oyster sauce and soy sauce and continue stirring.

  10. Add more water as necessary to keep noodles moist and from sticking to wok.

  11. Continue stirring until heated through.
