An experimental bread. Not quite there yet, but working on it!

Recipe Ingredients for Mamas Low Cal Bread

4 cups white flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
3 tsp active yeast
3/4 tsp salt
5 tbs unsweetened applesauce
4 tbs flax seed
4 tbs wheat germ
1 tbs wheat gluten
2 cups water

Recipe Directions for Mamas Low Cal Bread

  1. Add yeast to warm water, dissolve. Add other ingredients and knead 'til you get a good bread texture.

  2. Form into ball and allow to rise 'til doubled in size.

  3. Punch down and shape into two loaves. Allow to rise 'til just above top of pan and then bake in a 350 oven for 50 minutes.
