My famiy loves this as a meal, can have with side of corn or by itself. Great to bring to pot luck...can keep warm return to rice cooker to bring to event.

Recipe Ingredients for Mama's Dirty Rice

16 oz 90% Lean Ground Beef, Fresh
6 oz Carrots, Baby
5 eggs Egg, Scrambled
1 onion Yellow Onion
1 pepper, large (3-3/4" long, 3" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Yellow
8 cup Rice, White, Medium-grain, Cooked

Recipe Directions for Mama's Dirty Rice

  1. cook ground beef with onions and peppers. Saute diced baby carrots in butter. Scramble eggs separately. I cook the rice in a rice cooker (4 cups I guess equals 8 cups cooked?) When everything is cooked, stir together add seasonings and soy sauce to taste. I add a little asian red chili sauce to the meat...mmm good!
