Recipe Ingredients for Mama's Amazing Ziti

1 lb turkey, ground
2 large carrots, shredded
21 oz tomato soup, low salt
8 oz ziti, uncooked
1 tsp basil, dried
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 cup mozzarella cheese, part skimmed, shredded
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Recipe Directions for Mama's Amazing Ziti

  1. Place a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium high heat. Add turkey and carrots and cook, breaking up chunks with a wooden spoon, about 5 minutes.

  2. Drain excess fat

  3. Add tomato soup, 2 cans water, ziti, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, and stir until well blended.

  4. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Stir in mozzarella cheese, serve and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
