Recipe Ingredients for Mama Tamji's Sausage Linguine

1 lb hot italian sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
28 oz diced canned tomatoes
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp sugar
1 tbs balsamic vinegar
1 lb linguine

Recipe Directions for Mama Tamji's Sausage Linguine

  1. Brown sausage in non stick pan over med/high heat.

  2. Add chopped onion and saute til onion is translucent.

  3. Start pasta water boiling and keep it rolling.

  4. Put remaining ingredients EXCEPT linguine in a blender and whir it til smooth baby. This is your sauce.

  5. Pour sauce from blender into sausage and onion and simmer over low heat UNCOVERED for 20-30 mins.

  6. While sauce is simmering, add linguine and cook according to pkg directions.

  7. Buon appetito!
