Recipe Ingredients for Makaroni laatikko

3 cups macaroni, dry (view)
500 g ground beef (view)
700 ml milk, skimmed (view)
3 eggs (view)
3 tbsp grated cheese (view)
2 onions

Recipe Directions for Makaroni laatikko

  1. Cook the macaroni in boiling water.

  2. Finely chop the onions, and fry until soft.

  3. Add the minced beef to the frying pan and cook till brown.

  4. Add some spices to the beef - e.g. currey powder, salt, pepper

  5. Meanwhile, mix together the eggs and milk.

  6. Prepare a greased oven dish and preheat the oven to 200C.

  7. Put the cooked beef and macaroni in the greased oven dish in layers.

  8. Pour over the egg/milk mixture.

  9. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.

  10. Cook in the oven for 1 hour.
