Recipe Ingredients for Magic Cookie Dough Ice Cream

3 c. skim milk
5 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. brown sugar, packed
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. skim milk, FFCC
1 1/8 c. whole-wheat flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. sugar
8 oz. milk chocolate
3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips, miniature

Recipe Directions for Magic Cookie Dough Ice Cream

  1. Make ice cream part using milk and sugars, add packet of gelatin dissolved in 3 Tbsp. boiling water. Also add 1 tsp. vanilla, freeze for 1 1/2- 2 hours before whipping till double in volume, fold in cookie dough bits (directions below).

  3. Melt butter, beat with Fat Free cream cheese (do NOT use milk, thats only there for calorie calc.) Add sugars, salt, and 1 tsp. vanilla to mixer. Slowly add flour, beat 30 seconds then add 1-2 Tbsp. of milk until good scooping consistency, add 8 oz. milk chocolate chips. Spread in medium-thick layer on a plate, freeze 30 min.

  4. Later, while ice cream whips up, crumble frozen cookie dough. Gently fold into whipped ice cream, adding Nestle mini chocolate chips, place in container to freeze for 2-3 hours before serving. Keep frozen for several months.
