1 3/10 cups oats
1 3/10 cups cornmeal
1/2 tablespoon sea salt
3 cups Full Circle Apple Juice Organic From Concentrate

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Recipe Directions for macrobiotic corn bread

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, rolled oats, cornmeal, apple cider (or juice), sea salt, and oil. Mix well using a wooden spoon or whisk.

  3. 3. Lightly oil a 95x3-inch loaf pan and sprinkle with sesame seeds. This prevents the bread from sticking to the pan and adds a delicious toasty sesame flavor.

  4. 4. Fill the pan with batter, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  5. 5. Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving and/or removing the loaf from the pan. Serve with the Miso-Tahini Spread:)

  6. Store in the refrigerator tightly wrapped in plastic for up to 5 days.
