Recipe Ingredients for Mac'n ground beef with Ragu

1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 cup carrots, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 tsp minced garlic
1 1/2 cups Ragu tomato sauce
3/4 cups macaroni

Recipe Directions for Mac'n ground beef with Ragu

  1. Brown ground beef over medium heat. Half way through process, add onions.

  2. Cook until just crumbly. Drain, reserving liquid. Allow liquid to cool. Skim off fat and return liquid to meat.

  3. Add green peppers, carrots, celery, continue to cook until slightly softened.

  4. Add tomato sauce and 1.5 cups water.

  5. Bring to a boil, add macaroni, reduce heat to low, and cook, partially covered, until macaroni is al dente, about 18 minutes.
