Cooked macaroni stirred into a creamy sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Macaroni - creamy chicken & mushroom with broc

4 cloves garlic
300 g ground chicken
1/8 tsp paprika
210 g mushrooms, chopped
140 g broccoli, finely chopped
300 g Q Extra Light Milk
1/4 tsp salt
1 pinch black pepper
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
10 g wholewheat flour
10 g all purpose flour
150 ml water
170 g wholewheat macaroni, cooked without salt

Recipe Directions for Macaroni - creamy chicken & mushroom with broc

  1. Cook macaroni. Rinse under cold water to stop cooking. Drain well and set aside.

  2. Heat a frying pan on medium heat. Sprinkle in half the salt. Add in the ground chicken, paprika and garlic. Brown.

  3. Add in mushrooms and just when they begin to soften, add in the finely chopped broccoli. Add in rest of the salt, pepper and parsley. Cook till just soft.

  4. Pour in milk. Mix both flours with the water. When the milk begins to boil, pour in the flour solution. Allow sauce to thicken to your liking.

  5. Stir in the cooked macaroni to coat it well and allow to heat through.
