Use old cheddar Make sure your milk is warm or room temp Cook your roux well before adding milk to avoid floury taste

Recipe Ingredients for Macaroni and cheese

4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp flour
1 tbsp dry mustard
2 1/2 cups 2% milk
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1 pepper
3 cups cheddar cheese
3 cups macaroni
1/4 cup bread crumbs

Recipe Directions for Macaroni and cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 375F

  2. Cook macaroni

  3. Melt butter insaucepan

  4. Mix in flour

  5. Mix in mustard

  6. Whisk in milk and worcestershire sauce

  7. Add salt and pepper

  8. Add cheese

  9. Once thickened, pour over macaroni in oven proof dish

  10. Cover with bread crumbs and bake until brown on top and bubbly
