Old fashioned mac and cheese. High in calories. Use as side dish in smaller serving sizes.

Recipe Ingredients for macaroni & cheese

6 tbs. butter
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp pepper
3/4 tsp worcestershire
3 cups milk
3/4 lb sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups elbow macaroni
3/4 cup soft bread crumbs

Recipe Directions for macaroni & cheese

  1. Melt 4 Tbs butter

  2. blend in flour and seasonings

  3. gradually stir in milk, cook and stir over medium heat until thick and smooth cream sauce.

  4. Stir in cheese.

  5. Pour over cooked macaroni in greased 2.5 qt. casserole.

  6. Mix lightly

  7. melt remaining butter and mix with 3/4 cup soft bread crumbs and sprinkle on top of casserole.

  8. Bake 375 30 minutes
