What it says on the tin, with cauliflower and we usually put sesame seeds in too. A delicious dish, but very high in sat fat and calories. Not for every day consumption! I'm sure you could use lower fat cheeses - which is the main culprit. I'd have a hard time convincing the other half to use it though - it was hard enough to get him onto skimmed milk! :)

Recipe Ingredients for Macaroni Cheese

3 cups cheese, grated
8 ozs skimmed milk
3 tsp butter
3 tbsp flour
3 cups macaroni
6 flowerets cauliflower
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp paprika

Recipe Directions for Macaroni Cheese

  1. Boil the macaroni and the cauliflower

  2. Put the cheese, flour, milk and butter in a saucepan and put on the heat

  3. Keep stiring until thickened

  4. Preheat the oven when it's nearing the right thickness - 220*C

  5. Put the cooked macaroni in the bowl and sprinkle some sesame seeds in. Mix up the macaroni a bit to get an even spread.

  6. Put the califlower on top

  7. Pour the sauce on, stir in more sesame seeds if you wish

  8. Sprinkle any remaining cheese on top and put in the oven for about 30 minutes - checking occasionally

  9. Enjoy
