Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

Terrible for you, but very comforting to eat once in a while. :)

Recipe Ingredients for Macaroni and cheese

16 oz Noodles Elbow Macaroni
16 oz Cheese Cheddar Shredded Medium
6 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat
1 stick Butter
0.33 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
0.25 tsp Paprika
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions

Recipe Directions for Macaroni and cheese

  1. Boil noodles until tender. Set aside.

  2. Saute onion (chopped) in butter until softened. Add flour, stir well. Still over heat, add milk a little at a time. Heat until thickened.

  3. Add 1/2 the cheese to the sauce mixture and stir well. Add noodles to sauce and stir.

  4. Grease a large casserole dish. Put 1/2 the noodles into the dish, layer 1/2 the remaining cheese, add the rest of the noodles, and then put the rest of the cheese on top.

  5. Lightly dust with paprika if desired. Bake at 350 for about 1/2 hour (covered).
