Slightly lighter version of macaroni and cheese

Recipe Ingredients for Macaroni and Cheese - Lighter

8 oz Fat Free Half and Half
1 cup Organic Low Fat Milk 1% Milkfat
13 1/4 oz Dreamfields Elbows
8 oz Sharp Cheddar 2% Milk Reduced Fat
2 oz Trader Joe's Grated Parmesan Cheese
2 tbsp Butter
0.13 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached

Recipe Directions for Macaroni and Cheese - Lighter

  1. Boil macaroni according to package. Drain & set aside.

  2. Melt butter over medium heat, then whisk in flour.

  3. Continue to cook over medium heat for several minutes, then slowly whisk in the milk. Bring up to a simmer then reduce heat to low.

  4. After the sauce stops bubbling, slowly whisk in cheese and turn off heat. Add in macaroni and mix well
