Full Fat Mac & Cheese (made with healthy pasta though!)

Recipe Ingredients for Macaroni & Cheese - Alton Brown

29 oz Elbows
8 tbsp All Natural Salted Butter
2 tbsp All Natural Unsalted Butter
0.625 cup All Purpose Flour
12 tsp Spices Mustard Powder
10 cup Milk, Lowfat, Fluid, 1% Milkfat
8 tsp Onion Powder
8 tsp Garlic Powder
3 large Egg, Whole
40 oz Fancy Sharp Cheddar Shredded Cheese
8 tbsp All Natural Unsalted Butter
2 tbsp All Natural Salted Butter
8 oz Bread Crumbs

Recipe Directions for Macaroni & Cheese - Alton Brown

  1. Cook macaroni per directions on package

  2. melt 10 T butter in LARGE pan/pot, whisk in flou and mustard, no lumps!

  3. cook for about 5 minutes, stirring continually

  4. gradually pour in milk, add onion powder, garlic powder, paprika

  5. simmer 10 minutes

  6. whisk and temper the eggs, add them to the milk mixture

  7. stir in 3/4 of the cheese

  8. fold in the cooked macaroni until all is mixed evenly

  9. pour into TWO 9x13 baking dishes

  10. top with remaining cheese

  11. melt 10T butter and toss with the bread crumbs to coat

  12. top the macaroni with the breadcrumbs

  13. bake for 30 minutes

  14. remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving

  15. enjoy!
