Chicken liver, onions, and egg. This is a simple recipe, but simply delicious.

Recipe Ingredients for Lynne's Chopped Liver

1 lb chicken liver, cooked
3 large onions, chopped
4 hard boiled eggs
1/4 c olive oil
1 salt and pepper

Recipe Directions for Lynne's Chopped Liver

  1. Cook the chicken livers - saute or broil.

  2. Cook the eggs.

  3. While the eggs are cooking, chop the onions and saute in the oil until brown, but not burned.

  4. Carefully watch the onions - the cooking can take up to 30 minutes to brown.

  5. Chop liver in food processor.

  6. Add eggs and combine.

  7. Add onions (scrape to add every bit), and add salt and pepper. Combine in food processor to desired consistency.

  8. Refriderate for 2-3 hours for flavor to combine.

  9. A serving is 1/2 cup.
