Black beans to be served over steamed rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Lyndi's Black Beans

15 oz. Kuner's black beans, drained
14 oz. Tomatoes
1 cup water
1/2 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/3 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tbsp. cumin
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 tbsp. olive oil

Recipe Directions for Lyndi's Black Beans

Drain black beans and rinse them. In a pan, heat oil and add onion and garlic, cooking until translucent. Add spices and then the tomatoes (diced works too). Cut up the tomato chunks if you want. Allow time to simmer. Add black beans and simmer until you serve it. More simmering means more flavoring.
