I adapted this recipe from one I found because I am struggling to lower my sodium intake, and most pasta sauces have a LOT of sodium. Hopefully it tastes good!

Recipe Ingredients for Lower sodium pasta sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
16 ounce tomato sauce no salt added
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 salt and pepper to taste
1 cup water

Recipe Directions for Lower sodium pasta sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, saute' onion and garlic in the olive oil for about 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce, oregano, salt, pepper, and water. Lower heat and simmer until it thickens; about 30 minutes.
