Adapted from cabbage beef casserole submitted by caronvan. Hope you don't mind! I needed lower fat and sodium.

Recipe Ingredients for lower fat, lower sodium Cabbage Beef Casserole

1 head cabbage
1 lb ground beef, 93% lean
1/2 cup onions (cut up)
1 green pepper (chopped)
1 cooking spray
3 tablespoons uncooked rice
10 1/2 ounce condensed tomato soup, 30% less sodium
8 ounce tomato sauce, no salt added
3/4 cup water

Recipe Directions for lower fat, lower sodium Cabbage Beef Casserole

  1. Spray frying pan with cooking spray. Brown ground beef; add onion green pepper and rice.

  2. Slice cabbage in botton of casserole dis; spread beef mixture over cabbage.

  3. Mix tomato soup and water; add tomato sauce

  4. Pour over cabbage and meat mixture.

  5. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.
