My second attempt to make a lower fat oatmeal cookie recipe

Recipe Ingredients for Lower fat Oatmeal Apple Raisin Walnut Cookies

1/2 c. nonfat yogurt
1/4 c. canola oil
2 T. molasses
3 apples, medium, peeled, chopped
3 egg whites
1 t. vanilla
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/2 t. baking soda
1 t. cinnamon
3 1/2 c. rolled oats
3/4 c. raisins
1/2 c. walnuts

Recipe Directions for Lower fat Oatmeal Apple Raisin Walnut Cookies

  1. In large bowl, combine liquid ingredients and beat well.

  2. Core, peel and finely chop apples. Beat into mixture.

  3. In separate bowl, sift baking soda, flour, and cinnamon, then add all at once to wet ingredients.

  4. Mix well, then add oats. If too dry, add a little more yogurt, or another chopped apple.

  5. Finally, add raisins and walnuts.

  6. Bake 350 degrees for about 10-12 minutes.
