Recipe Ingredients for Lower-Fat Mac & Cheese

1 cup Milk, Lowfat, Fluid, 1% Milkfat
1 cup, shredded Low Fat, Cheddar Or Colby Cheese
0.67 cup Small Curd Cottage Cheese, FatFree
4 oz Barilla Whole Grain Rotini
2 tbsp Parmesan, Grated Cheese
1 dash Pepper, Black

Recipe Directions for Lower-Fat Mac & Cheese

  1. Prepare your pasta per package directions and set aside.

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  3. In a blender or food processor, combine the milk, cheddar, cottage cheese, and pepper. Cover and process until creamy.

  4. Pour cheese mixture into bowl and stir in pasta.

  5. Transfer to a 1.5 quart coated with nonstick cooking spray. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  6. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until heated through.
