Recipe Ingredients for Lower fat lasagne

6 oz Lasagna
1 lb turkey sausage
1/2 cup mozzarella
1/2 cup parmesan
1 egg
1 cup fat free ricotta
1 cup onions, chopped
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 cup red pepper, sliced
2 cups tomato sauce, canned
1 tbsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Lower fat lasagne

  1. Saute onions, peppers, mushrooms and garlic in olive oil. Add turkey sausage and cook until no longer pink.

  2. Add tomato sauce and cook at low heat for about 1 hour until sauce thickens.

  3. Combine egg, ricotta and parmesan in a bowl

  4. Layer sauce, lasagne, cheese mixture and shredded mozarella, ending with sauce layer. Bake at 300 for 1 hours. Add sliced or shredded mozarella to top and return to oven until melted. Serve immediately - or even better serve the following day.
