Took an old banana bread recipe and made substitutions for lower fat and calories.

Recipe Ingredients for Lower Fat Banana Bread

1/4 cup applesauce
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flax seed
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup banana
1/2 cup wheat bran
2 tablespoons fat free yogurt
1 teaspoon vinegar

Recipe Directions for Lower Fat Banana Bread

  1. Mix together wet ingredients (except banana and yogurt).

  2. Add in dry ingredients

  3. Stir in banana and yogurt (by hand)
