Recipe Ingredients for Low Sodium Whole Wheat Tortillas

3 c Whole wheat graham flour
3 T olive oil
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 c water

Recipe Directions for Low Sodium Whole Wheat Tortillas

  1. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder with your hand.

  2. Work oil into the flour mixture until crumbly

  3. Add warm water and let rest 5 minutes.

  4. Roll into a long snake, cutting it in half (and then those in half so on until you have 24 pieces)

  5. Roll flat like pie crust on a cutting board.

  6. On a -super- hot pan, cook until bubbles form, or it turns a bit browny. Flip and cook other side the same way. They cook very fast.

  7. With practice, you should be able to easily be cooking one or two (depending on your pan/ griddle size) while rolling out the next one (or two). Keep an eye on the pan! Perfectly done, and scorched are less then 10 seconds apart :)
