Recipe Ingredients for Low-Sodium Turkey Stew Alternative

16 oz raw Boneless Skinless Turkey Thigh
424.5 grams Black Eyed Peas, Organic
2 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
2 cup, cubes Yam
1 tsp, leaves Thyme, Dried
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Paprika
1 tbsp Olive Oil, Extra Virgin
1 tsp Oregano, Ground
1 tsp, ground Basil, Dried
1 tsp Rosemary, Dried
1 g Sea Salt

Recipe Directions for Low-Sodium Turkey Stew Alternative

  1. Clean turkey thighs and remove any excess fat. Cut into 1 inch chunks.

  2. Place in a bowl adding all seasonings and olive oil mixing thoroughly.

  3. Heat a Dutch Oven style pot on a low-med flame and add turkey thighs and cover. for about 30minutes.

  4. Take this time to peel and cut your Yam into inch slices/chunks; and your celery.

  5. After 30minutes of your thighs cooking it should be somewhat tender and have collection of juicy stock, add your yams and celery, stir, and cover for another 20minutes.

  6. Add the Black Eyed Peas, stir and cover for another 15-20min. (Some don't wish their beans to be too over cooked)

  7. It's ready to eat! Yum!
