Recipe Ingredients for Low Sodium Omelet

1/2 tsp. organic butter
2 large egg whites
1 1/2 tbsp. water
3 fresh basil leaves
1 fresh ground black pepper

Recipe Directions for Low Sodium Omelet

  1. In a small mixing bowl whisk together the egg whites and water.

  2. Add ground pepper to taste.

  3. Heat a medium sized non-stick skillet over medium heat and place the basil in the bottom and pour the egg mixture over the top.

  4. Reduce the heat to medium heat and cook slowly.

  5. Gently slide a spatula under the eggs and carefully fold back the cooked portion so as to expose more uncooked egg to the bottom of the pan.

  6. When the eggs are nearly set, fold the omelet in half and cook about 2 more minutes and remove.
