A great snack that's wholesome and lower in sugar than most energy bars.

Recipe Ingredients for Low GI Banana Energy Bars

1 1/2 cups quick oats
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
2 large bananas
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1 large egg
1/2 cups milk
1/2 cups chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Low GI Banana Energy Bars

Mix dry ingredients. Add beaten egg, milk, vanilla and mix well. Add peanut butter, mashed banana, almonds and chocolate chips. Pour batter into an 8x8 pan, and bake for 20 minutes on 350F. Cool, and cut into bars.
