Recipe Ingredients for low-fat turkey & chorizo burger

16 oz Fresh Ground Turkey - Lean
12 oz Trader Joe's Soy Chorizo
2 large Egg, White
0.5 cup Bread Crumbs, Dry, Grated, Plain
1/4 tsp Red Chili Pepper
0.5 tbsp Sage, Ground
6 slice (1 oz) Low Fat, Cheddar Or Colby Cheese

Recipe Directions for low-fat turkey & chorizo burger

char chili peppers on hot grill until blackened. Let cool in metal/glass bowl, covered. set aside. cook chorizo; crumble as it cooks in pan. Drain on plate covered with paper towel, place aditional paper towel on top and press to remove as much fat as possible. set side to cool. peel skins from chillies and remove seeds if desired. chop roughly. nrge bowl, mix ground turkey, chorizo, chilies, sage, crushed chili peppers, egg whites & bread crumbs. if mixtue is too wet add more bread crumbs. cover mixture with plastic wrap and chll for 30-45 minutes or till ready to cook. grill burgers until cooked through, about 5-6 minutes each side.
