Recipe Ingredients for Low Fat Turkey Chili

1 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
10 stalk celery
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/4 pound ground turkey
2 tbsp chili powder
2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp ground coriander
24 ounce crushed tomatoes
28 ounce Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
30 ounce black beans, rinsed and drained
3 zucchini

Recipe Directions for Low Fat Turkey Chili

  1. Preparation:

  2. Heat oil in a large Dutch oven. Add onion, celery, chopped pepper and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes or until onions are translucent. Crumble the turkey into the pan, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook for about 5 minutes or until no longer pink. Stir in chili powder, cumin, coriander and oregano. Add in crushed tomatoes and diced tomatoes, and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add zucchini and beans, mix well and cook on low heat for a further 5-10 minutes.

  3. Ladle into bowls. Add a dollop of fat-free sour cream on top and some fresh green onion.
