creamy and sweet but low cal/ makes a good sub for ice cream :)

Recipe Ingredients for low fat/sugar custard

13 ounces nonfat evaporated milk
1 tablespoons sugar
3 large eggs
10 ounces water
1 splenda to taste

Recipe Directions for low fat/sugar custard

  1. mix eggs, sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4-1/2 nutmeg (depends on how fresh it is and how strong you like it) with wisk or mixer until smooth.

  2. Add evaporated milk and water mix on low until mixed.

  3. Pour into custard cups or pyrex dish

  4. Pour boiling water into metal baking dish while it is on oven shelf approx half way up the side.

  5. Place custard in pan, water should come at least half way up the side of the custard cup.

  6. Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes.

  7. ALT RECIPIE

  8. INSTEAD OF EVAP MILK USE 2 CUPS ANY HOUSE HOLD MILK THE MORE FAT THE MORE CALORIES, BUT ALSO THE BETTER THE TEST. No water if do not use evaporated milk.

  9. Use 1/4 cup sugar or more and suppliment with Splenda as per individual taste.

  10. Use 1 egg for each cup of milk.

  11. Can be baked in a bowl placed in the water, do not ever stir baked custard unless you like a very unattactive bowl of sweet stuff.
