Recipe Ingredients for Low Fat Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 egg whites
14 ounce pumpkin puree
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
12 ounce dark chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Low Fat Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray nonstick pan with cooking spray. In a large mixing bowl combine vanilla, egg whites, pumpkin puree, and applesauce, mix well. Add flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, and baking powder to the pumpkin mixture. Stir until well blended and then mix in the chocolate chips.

  2. Drop the cookie batter onto the baking sheet by rounded tablespoons. Place cookies 2 inches apart and bake for 12 minutes. Let the cookies cool on the sheet for 3 to 5 minutes before transferring to a cookie rack.
