This recipe involves mainly healthy ingredients to create a delicious meal. The meal is pretty much balanced because there is pita bread for carbohydrates and there are assorted vegetables as well. Even though there is some mozzerella cheese involved, since it is fat free, it is still healthier than normal.

Recipe Ingredients for Low-Fat Pizza

1 pita bread
2 oz. tomato sauce
2 oz. fat free Mozzarella cheese
1 oz. sliced mushrooms
1/2 oz. sliced onions
1/2 oz. sliced bell pepper

Recipe Directions for Low-Fat Pizza

  1. Spread pizza sauce on top of the pita bread.

  2. Then sprinkle the cheese on the sauce.

  3. Cut the veggies to desirable size.

  4. Add the vegetables on top.

  5. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

  6. For a crispier pizza, broil for 2 to 3 minutes.
