Recipe Ingredients for low fat oatmeal cookies

1/4 cup Apple Sauce Unsweetened Organics
3/4 cup Robin Hood All Purpose Whole Wheat Flour
3 packet Instant Oatmeal Original
4 oz SPLENDA Brown Sugar Blend
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
3/20 cup Molasses
1 tsp cinnamon

  6. 1 cup whole wheat flour

  7. 1-1/2 cups quick-cooking oats

  8. 1/2 cup sugar

  9. 1 tsp. baking soda

  10. 1/4 cup prune puree (or a jar of prune baby food works great!!!!)

  11. 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp. of light pancake syrup, honey or molasses

  12. 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  13. 1/2 cup dark raisins

  14. 1.2 cup chopped walnuts (optional- not calculated)

  15. Directions

  16. 1. Preheat oven to 350. Combine flor, oats, sugar and baking soda, and stir to mix well. Add the prune puree, honey or molasses, and vanilla extract; stir to mix well. (If dough seems crumbly, keepstirring until it holds together). Stir in raisins and nuts if desired.

  17. 2. Coat a baking sheet in cooking spray. Droprounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto sheet, placing them 1-1/2 inches apart. Slightly flatten each cookie with the tip of a spoon.

  18. 3. Bake at 350 for about 9 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool the cookies in the pan. Serve. Store cookies in an airtight container in single layers seperated by waxed paper.
