Makes 1 serving



Solid base for larger meal salad. Add Sardines, Tofu or other protein for an all in one filling meal. Also you can add home made or store bought Hummus or Tzatziki Sauce, or hot sauce as desired.

Recipe Ingredients for Low fat Meal Salad Base

1/4 cup garlic
1 (18g) carrot, thinly sliced
1/2 cup celery
1 (196g) cucumber, chopped
1 (72g) avocado, chopped
1/4 cup black beans
1 (50g) tomato, chopped
2 cup lettuce
2 tbsp vinegar

Recipe Directions for Low fat Meal Salad Base

  1. Finely chop the garlic

  2. Very thin slice of the carrots

  3. Avocado portion is usually half of medium Haas

  4. Black beans are cooking in advance

  5. Red Wine vinegar is usually used, but Balsamic can add some additional flavor.

  6. I also use a no fat hot sauce as a rule
